Campaign settings
Schedule, mailboxes, daily volume, tracking, A/B testing, safety options and the AI Reply Agent for one campaign.
What it is
The Settings tab of a campaign holds everything about how and when it sends, in one column of cards. The Overview tab holds only the content, and follow-ups live on the Sequence tab.
Use the links at the top (Campaign, Schedule, Sending, Tracking and delivery, Advanced, Additional, AI Reply Agent) to jump to a card. Click Save settings in the bar at the bottom when you are done.
Campaign
- Campaign name and Campaign tags (separate tags with a comma).
- Prospect value: what one interested prospect is worth. Revenue uses it to estimate what interested replies are worth.
Schedule
- Timezone: the timezone your sending days and window use.
- Start: As soon as it is launched, or On a date and time you pick.
- Sending days and Sending window: for example Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. Nothing is sent outside them.
- Best time to send: a chart of reply rate by hour of day, from this campaign's replies. Once the campaign has sent enough, click Use to apply the suggested window.
- Recipient's local time: send within each person's own working hours when their country or timezone is known. The note under it says for how many leads it is known.
Sending
- Senders: Pick mailboxes from the list, or choose By tag to use every active mailbox with that tag.
- Daily limit per mailbox: how many emails each mailbox sends a day, follow-ups included. 20 is recommended. The line under it shows the total for all mailboxes.
- Increase gradually: starts at 5 emails a day per mailbox and adds 2 each day until it reaches the daily limit. The table shows the plan day by day.
- New people per day, Gap between emails and Order (contact the strongest prospects first) let you slow things down or start with the best leads.
Tracking and delivery
- Track opens and Track clicks are off by default. They need HTML emails.
- Send emails as text only is on by default. Plain text lands in the inbox more often, but opens and clicks cannot be tracked. Turning tracking on turns text only off, and the other way round.
- Validate emails before sending checks each address once and skips invalid ones. It needs an email verifier connected in Settings, Integrations.
- A/B testing: Send more of the variant that gets more replies shifts sends towards the subject line that works. A/B test two sequences splits new people between two whole sequences. See A/B test two sequences.
Advanced: safety and provider routing
- Click Show advanced options to open the card.
- Match sender and recipient providers, so Gmail recipients get mail from a Google mailbox and Outlook recipients from Microsoft.
- Provider routing: click Add custom rule to choose which mailbox providers may send to which recipients.
- Bounce limit pauses the campaign if bounces pass a set rate (5% by default).
- Per company limits how many people at one company are contacted, for example 2 people every 7 days.
- Re-contact cooldown sets how many days pass before another campaign can email the same person.
Additional settings
- Do not send to prospects with missing placeholder values, and Stop sending to coworkers on reply.
- Add an unsubscribe link is off by default. Turn it on to add a line at the end of each email and the one-click unsubscribe header.
- Campaign CC, Campaign BCC, Reply CC and Reply BCC copy other people in.
AI Reply Agent
- Handled by shows which AI Reply Agent answers this campaign's replies, and whether it sends automatically or drafts for your approval.
- Pick an agent, tick Let the agent answer replies to this campaign, and click Save AI Reply Agent. Pick No AI Reply Agent to leave replies to you in Unibox.

- Bounce limit: 5% by default (1 to 100). Per company: on by default, at most 2 people every 7 days (1 to 20 people, 1 to 90 days). Re-contact cooldown: 60 days by default (0 to 365).

When to change what
- New mailboxes or a new domain: keep Increase gradually on and the daily limit at 20 or below.
- Leads all over the world: turn on Recipient's local time so people get your email in their working hours.
- You need open and click numbers: turn on tracking. You care most about landing in the inbox: keep text only on.
- Selling into a few big companies: keep Per company on so you do not email ten people at the same company in a week.
- Bounces climbing: verify your list, turn on Validate emails before sending and keep the bounce limit at 5%.
